Challapalli scion and former MP dies at 86

Vijayawada: Challapalli scion and former Machilipatnam MP, Raja Sreemanthu Yarlagadda Akineedu Prasad Bahuddur, died at his residence in Coimbatore on Friday. He was 86.
Prasad Bahuddur was the son of Challapalli Fort's last king, Siva Ram Prasad Bahuddur.
His family members said that the last rites will be performed at Challapalli.
Prasad Bahuddur, who was the third parliamentarian of the Machilipatnam constituency, served as MP at the age of 27. His father, Siva Ram Prasad Bahuddur, the last king of Challapalli Fort, served as the health minister in the United Madras State. Prasad Bahuddur worked as the correspondent of the SRYSP Junior College in Challapalli.
Gannavaram MLA Yarlagadda Venkat Rao and IT minister Nara Lokesh expressed their condolences. They said that as the correspondent of the SRYSP Junior College, he strove for empowerment of the underprivileged students.
