AP rising from YSRCP-era ruins and destruction, racing toward growth under CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu's leadership: MLA Prashanti Reddy
TIRUPATI: Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy asserted that Andhra Pradesh, under the NDA govt's rule, was now racing towards development from the ruins and destruction unleashed in the state by the YSRCP regime.
Prashanti Reddy spoke in support of the resolution "Steps towards development from past regime's destruction" on the second day of the TDP Mahanadu at Kadapa. She underlined that "Swara-Andhra Pradesh" was possible to be achieved only under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.
She thanked Naidu and Lokesh for providing her husband and Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy with honourable positions through which they both could further dedicate and channel their services for the poor and downtrodden.
"The CM is governing the state by facing challenges and difficulties, in line with the aspirations of all regions and sections of society. He undertook the construction of Amaravati, the capital, in a way that every citizen of the state can be proud of. She clarified that Golden Andhra 2047 can only be achieved with an annual growth of 15%," Kovur MLA noted.
She explained that the CM set a target for AP to become a Rs 38 lakh crore economy by 2047, and a 10-point plan has been devised to achieve a per capita income of Rs 55 lakh.
She elaborated that the goals include 60% urbanisation, reducing unemployment, and achieving 39.12 lakh exports. The target is to achieve a per capita income of Rs 5,42,985 by 2029.
Prashanti Reddy explained that the govt has given the highest priority to election promises. While governing with the concept of "service to the poor," they also implemented numerous schemes to change their living standards.
She recalled that despite starting governance in 2014 with a revenue deficit of Rs 16,000 crores, they implemented over 120 welfare and development programs.
She mentioned that the previous govt even closed the Anna Canteen, which served the poor, but today, moving towards welfare, they breathed new life into schemes by increasing pensions to Rs 4,000.
She proudly stated that India's highest pension is provided in Andhra Pradesh, and from the first month of assuming power, they delivered pensions to 64 lakh people at their homes.
"The govt, prioritising the implementation of Super 6 schemes, has initiated Brand AP by implementing over 25 new policies for state development, such as the Industrial Development Policy, MSME Policy, and Food Processing Policy. She added that industrial parks are being set up in Kopparthi and Orvakallu with Rs 5,000 crores, and 300 acres have been allocated for a drone hub in Kurnool," Kovur MLA underlined.
