Lot of people trolled me: Anupama Parameswaran on her break from Malayalam films
Actor Anupama Parmeswaran recently opened up about staying away from Malayalam cinema for a long time. Discussing the criticism she faced over her acting skills, Anupama mentioned how director Pravin Narayanan showed his faith over her, despite all the plays the titular role in Narayanan's upcoming film 'Janaki vs State of Kerala (JSK)'.During the audio launch of the film in Kochi on June 16, the actor shared her thoughts on dealing with trolling and working with Narayanan. "Irrespective of all of that, this film's director (Pravin Narayanan) cast me as the lead character. This movie has a heart and it is Janaki, and thank you for entrusting me with her," Parmeswaran 'JSK' actor emphasised that she did the film at a time "when I decided I will only commit movies that excite me in Malayalam." Parmeswaran also recalled her transformation during Covid-19 lockdown and being grateful to critics for her further said, "I went through a huge transformation in my career and life during the Covid-19 lockdown, and I immensely appreciate Pravin for showing faith in me, to pull off such a deep character. The movie revolves around a strong female character, and I am thankful that Pravin trusted me with her.
