Cardiff arrive in South Africa looking to keep their hopes of a United Rugby Championship play-off place alive.
Boss Matt Sherratt has made six changes for this trip, with Taulupe Faletau and Teddy Williams droping to the bench for the clash, along with skipper Liam Belcher.
Evan Lloyd starts at hooker alongside returning loose-head Corey Domachowski, with Rory Thornton and Alun Lawrence also included. James Botham switches from blind to open-side as Alex Mann returns to take the six jersey.
Tinus de Beer is back in at fly-half as the only backline change. Callum Sheedy is out of the matchday squad
