The President's Award for Excellence is given annually to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service and leadership in their field.
Ballinger said the award is not just for her but for all those who believe in the power of the law to bring about positive change.
"Together, we can continue to build a more just and equitable society," she said in the release.
