Now, sources close to the production have exclusively revealed to ETimes that a similar high-voltage sequence has been recreated for Border 2. 'It's a homage to the original,' says the source. 'The team wanted to bring back that larger-than-life, goosebump-inducing moment for the sequel, and Sunny sir was completely on board with the idea.'
What's even more impressive is that the 68-year-old actor insisted on performing the action sequence himself, staying true to his decades-old reputation for doing his own stunts.
The source adds, 'The scene has already been shot, and you won't believe your eyes when you see Sunny paaji, with a heavy rocket launcher slung over his shoulder, charging towards enemy positions. The entire crew was left stunned watching his energy and commitment.
That rocket launcher weighed several kilos, but he carried it like it was nothing.'
Interestingly, Sunny Deol and rocket launchers seem to have an old cinematic connection.
Apart from Border, the actor was recently seen wielding a similar weapon in his 2024 action drama Jaat, where his character once again took the fight to the enemies with explosive action.
