The New York Knicks staved off elimination in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, defeating the Indiana Pacers, 111-94, much to the delight of a raucous Madison Square Garden — and Kylie Jenner in particular.
Jalen Brunson went off for 32 points. Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 24 points and 13 rebounds. New York shot nearly 50 percent from the floor. You may think these were the most important factors contributing to the Knicks forcing a Game 6. And you would be incredibly wrong.
The most important factor in Game 5 actually occurred before the game even tipped off, when one intrepid Knicks fan did what anyone who has watched their team get torched in the playoffs has definitely considered.
He placed a curse on the Pacers. Specifically, he found a "witch" on Etsy to place a curse on the Pacers.
According to her Etsy page, it seems the Knicks' latest playoff hero is Priestess Aurora, "a devoted conduit of ancient magic and divine energies" and "12th-generation enchantress".
Considering Priestess Aurora's most powerful, same-day custom spell only costs $8.47, and a seat at Madison Square Garden costs considerably more, it seems dollar-for-dollar there may not have been a more important purchase for Knicks fans Thursday night.

It was Priestess Aurora and her lovingly handcrafted spells and personalized incantations. Never mind the Etsy disclaimer that the spell-casting is only for entertainment purposes. Give Aurora the game ball.
