William and Kate's cocker spaniel welcomes quads of pups – and royal children are already in love
THE Prince and Princess of Wales's dog Orla has given birth to quads. And the royal couple's children are already said to have fallen in love with the black cocker spaniel 's pups. 2 2 A source said: 'Mother and babies are doing well.' But unlike with the arrival of royal tots, there is no official announcement or framed notice on an easel placed outside Buckingham Palace. And their names have yet to be revealed — and neither has the father's identity. Our insider said: 'We always thought the patter of tiny feet in the Wales's household had ended, so the sound of tiny paws will have to do.' Kate and William 's spokesman has not commented and it is not yet known whether the family — including Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, ten, and seven-year-old Prince Louis — plan to keep the weeks-old pups. Our insider went on: 'Everyone loves a new royal baby news and so new royal puppies run very close. "Everyone is very excited, not least the three children, who adore Orla, and Lupo before.' Kate has credited spending time in nature as vital to her cancer recovery and Orla featured in her emotional family video last September when she revealed her chemotherapy was over. The family got Orla in 2020 as a gift from Kate's brother James Middleton, who also bred Kate and William's previous dog Lupo and Orla's parents. Yet the much-loved family pet makes only the occasional appearance alongside her royal owners. Kate's cancer remission statement is nod to new normal after terrible year - she's a beacon of hope, royal expert says Kate and William posted a photo of Orla online for National Pet Day last month with the comment: 'Celebrating the animals who bring so much joy, companionship and love to our lives.' Another rare glimpse came when Orla was pictured in Charlotte's seventh birthday photos in 2022. The cocker spaniel's first public appearance came at a charity polo match several weeks later. The couple's first pet dog, Lupo, was a wedding present in 2011 but died in 2020. James Middleton hailed his own black cocker spaniel Ella for saving his life while in the 'depths of depression', saying she gave him 'purpose and reassurance'. The royals have a long history of owning and breeding dogs. Last week, Queen Camilla revealed for the first time a photograph of her rescue puppy Moley. The Sun also exclusively revealed in February the King had his first pooch — Italian truffle hunting dog Snuff — in 20 years. The late Queen Elizabeth II was known for her corgis and owned more than 30 in her lifetime.

King Charles Delays a Major Royal Authority for Prince William and Princess Kate
As thePrince and Princess of Wales, continue to solidify their roles as the next generation of the British monarchy, one traditional royal authority remains notably absent: the power to grant coveted royal warrants. This delay, set against their rising profiles, has become a point of quiet observation and has led to questions regarding 's timeline for bestowing this long-held privilege. For brands across the globe, receiving a royal warrant is a public stamp of approval by the royal household. It's a tradition steeped in history, allowing businesses to showcase their closeness to the Crown, complete with the right to display the royal arms of their grantor. With around 800 current holders, ranging from artisan cheesemakers to global tech giants, the prestige is undeniable. The power to bestow these warrants rests solely with the head of The Firm, and King Charles has, thus far, kept this authority for William and Kate on hold. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 And so it has become a burning question for royal watchers: why is King Charles taking so long to bestow this powerful endorsement tool upon his son and daughter-in-law? While it was excpected that Waleses would be entrusted as "grantors" soon after Charles became king, the wait continues, sparking curiosity and a touch of bewilderment. Reports suggest that some companies already supplying goods to William and Kate have begun to make tentative inquiries about the process, only to be met with the reality that applications cannot even be considered until the King gives the okay. The delay is particularly intriguing given the immense "soft power" the couple wields. HELLO!'s royal editor, Emily Nash, highlights the untapped potential: "For the brands and companies, having the endorsement of a royal warrant from William and Kate would bring huge kudos as well as a huge boost. We've seen the impact of the 'Kate effect' on fashion over the years, so this official royal seal of approval would be huge for the designers, services and companies the couple favor.' But as the months tick by since those significant state occasions, and with the couple's public profiles growing, the backlog explanation has raised a few eyebrows. Is there a reason for King Charles's delay? The monarchy, after all, is an institution that thrives on tradition. Or could it be, as Prince Harry wrote in his memoir Spare, an envious King Charles is managing the rollout of his heirs' influence, or are there other, more bureaucratic factors at play? Hello! claims the Lord Chamberlain's office, which manages the warrant system, has been occupied with the task of updating existing warrants following the late Queen Elizabeth II's reign and those previously issued by Charles as Prince of Wales. As the Prince and Princess of Wales step further into the royal spotlight, royal watchers and hopeful brands are in a state of eager, and perhaps slightly puzzled, anticipation for the King's ultimate decision.

Kate Middleton says ‘nature' has been her family's ‘sanctuary' in Mother's Day post
Kate Middleton has shared a sweet message about her family in honor of Mother's Day in the UK. The Princess of Wales, who shares three children with Prince William, posted a sweet tribute to Mother Nature on Instagram on Sunday. Her video included a series of outdoor scenes, including a flower blossoming, Kate's hands touching a tree, and William walking dogs. In the caption, the royal expressed how much she loves being outdoors with her husband and children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six. 'Over the past year, nature has been our sanctuary. This Mother's Day, let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognize how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves, but remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life. C,' she wrote in the caption. During Mothering Sunday last year, Kate made headlines when Kensington Palace released a photo of the princess sitting with her three children. The photo, captured by William, also marked Kate's first time being seen in the public eye, months after she was recovering from a 'planned abdominal surgery.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Prince and Princess of Wales (@princeandprincessofwales) Although it appeared completely normal at first glance, social media users then examined some points in the photo, before questioning if it was altered, or 'photoshopped.' For example, Charlotte's left-hand sleeve appeared to partially dissolve into nothing. Kate's right hand also appeared to be unusually blurred, while a wall near Louis' leg appeared to disconnect. From there, many news agencies decided to remove the image. AP issued an immediate 'kill notification' on the picture, noting that 'at closer inspection, it appears that the source has manipulated the image.' Getty Images also confirmed the photo was removed from their 'site in accordance with [their] editorial policy.' Kate later addressed the controversy, confessing that the photo was edited. However, she didn't specify what edits were made to it. 'Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,' she wrote on Instagram at the time. 'I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day. C' Kate, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, also recently shared a health update, revealing her she was in remission. 'I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year,' she wrote in a message on social media in January. 'My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn't have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.' She added: 'It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C.' At the time, she also made a surprise return to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she thanked the staff who provided her with 'exceptional' care during her treatment. She spoke with patients at the London hospital in what she described as an important moment in her 'personal journey', four months after her chemotherapy ended.
