Summer sparks shift in Irish nutritional habits, new research shows

A growing number of Irish adults are taking a closer look at their diets and embracing healthier lifestyles. A new study shows that almost one in three adults (29%) reevaluate their nutritional habits at the start of summer. According to research commissioned by Lindahls, this is promoted in part by increased physical activity and a desire to feel their best during the sunnier months. Nearly half (45%) of adults surveyed believe protein intake is the most important factor in a healthy diet. Next in the rankings was sugar consumption (21%). This trend highlights a rising demand for convenient, nutritious options and clear information. Speaking about the research, Priyanca Masrani, brand manager for Lindahls UK & Ireland, said: 'Summer offers the perfect opportunity to reset and embrace a healthier routine. As more people take part in outdoor activities and focus on improving their nutrition, we are delighted to provide on-the-go snacks that support a balanced lifestyle. Our Kvarg range is not only packed with protein but also free from excess sugar and fat, making it the ideal choice for anyone looking to stay fuelled and active this summer.'
