Shreveport Fire Department: Recruit Class 75 graduates
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — On March 20, the 2025 Shreveport fire Recruit Class 75 received their oath of office from Fire Chief Clarence Reese, Jr.
The Shreveport Fire Department posted on social media, 'These newly sworn-in Probationary Firefighters are prepared to serve the citizens of Shreveport.'
'You've accepted the challenge, and now it's time to step up. As you don the uniform, remember—this is more than just a job; it's a commitment to serve, to protect, and to continually learn.
I challenge each of you to be ready to serve with courage and integrity, to be ready to learn from every experience, and to uphold the high standards set by the men and women who wore this uniform before you. You are now part of a proud tradition, one that demands excellence and selflessness every single day.
As you begin this journey, remember: you're not just here to answer the call—you're here to carry the legacy forward.'
Chief Reese addressed the newly graduated class.
Shreveport Fire Recruit Class 75's graduation ceremony was hosted at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
