Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of the 'Promising Engineer Fast Track' training programme. The initiative aims to develop and empower Emirati engineering graduates by enhancing their technical and professional skills.
The programme aligns with RTA's strategic goals of future readiness and improving corporate reputation. It also supports the UAE's national strategy and Dubai's Emiratisation efforts by qualifying national talent for long-term career stability.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be UAE nationals, hold an engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.5, and have graduated within the past two years. Candidates must also pass personal interviews.
Athari Mohamed, Executive Director of Human Resources and Development at RTA, revealed that the programme underscores the authority's commitment to empowering national talent and fostering innovation among Emirati youth. She added that the initiative promotes job stability and clear career growth pathways.
Participants will receive comprehensive training, including specialised technical courses, mentoring, professional guidance, and involvement in operational teams. Their progress will be regularly evaluated to ensure optimal benefits.
The RTA also reported that it offers various incentives to attract and retain Emirati engineers. These include career progression opportunities, access to professional certifications, and assignments in technically focused projects that build practical experience.
The training will take place across RTA's sectors in an innovation-driven environment. It will involve collaboration with international companies and universities. Moreover, participants will gain hands-on experience through fieldwork on major infrastructure and transport projects in Dubai. The programme targets UAE national engineering graduates with high academic credentials.
It offers practical training, mentorship, and career development support.
