Liberal luminaries tasked to review party's election disaster
The federal Liberal Party has appointed 'eminent Australians' Nick Minchin and Pru Goward to review its disastrous 2025 election performance and Nick Greiner to administer the NSW party. The party luminaries were appointed at a federal executive meeting on Tuesday that endorsed a new committee to run the NSW division, to be headed by Greiner, the former premier and party president.

Voters are still fed up with major parties
Pru Goward doesn't like the teals (' Teal revenge of the doctors' wives '). She thinks the independents' policies and their voting is at odds with their own electorates, that they will never vote for unpopular but necessary legislation, and that a possible minority government is the worst possible result of the election. Many would disagree. She seems not to realise that the teals arose because of dissatisfaction with a poor Coalition government and with the two-party system. Many are expected to be re-elected on Saturday and many people think if they achieve balance-of-power status it will benefit Australian democracy, not impair it.
