Prime Minister Meets Electricity Ministry Leadership, Assesses Damage to Haziz and Dhabhan Power Stations
Sana'a - Saba: Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi met today with Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Saif, his deputy Adel Badr, and other senior officials, including the heads of the General Corporation for Electrical Industries and the Public Electricity Corporation. During the meeting, they discussed the emergency plan prepared by the ministry and its affiliated agencies to address current challenges in the electricity sector. The Prime Minister was briefed on the extent of damage caused by Israeli aggression to the central power generation stations in Dhabhan and Haziz, which were completely destroyed and rendered inoperable, as well as the damage to the Asr and Jadar substations. Despite the severe destruction, the ministry, through the Public Electricity Corporation, has taken measures to restore services and resume power supply. Al-Rahwi praised the efforts of the technical teams from the ministry and electricity corporation for their rapid response in restoring power through alternative emergency plans, despite the extensive damage inflicted by Israeli attacks. He emphasized that all damages can be repaired and compensated with strong will, particularly given the expertise and competent personnel within the ministry and electricity institutions capable of rebuilding and repairing the destruction caused by the ongoing aggression against Yemen since March 2015. During his field visit to the Dhabhan and Haziz stations, accompanied by the electricity minister, his deputy, and other officials, Al-Rahwi inspected the scale of destruction caused by Israeli targeting. In a media statement, he condemned the "Zionist enemy's criminal aggression" against Yemen and Gaza, marked by "hatred, arrogance, and brutality." He reaffirmed that Yemen—under its leadership, government, and people—will continue supporting Gaza, regardless of the repercussions, based on religious, moral, and humanitarian principles. He vowed to rebuild what the aggression has destroyed. Al-Rahwi expressed pride in the public's steadfast support for the leadership, armed forces, and government, commending the Electricity Ministry's swift restoration efforts and the role of other key sectors—health, environment, transport, public works, oil, and minerals—in mitigating the aggression's impact. Concluding his remarks, he declared: "No matter how the enemies conspire against us, we will not retreat from supporting Gaza until the aggression ends and the siege is lifted." Hodeida electricity commemorates Al-Sarkah anniversary
Hodeida - Saba: The branches of the Public Electricity Corporation and the Rural Electricity Authority in Hodeida province organized a speech event on Tuesdsy to mark Al-Sarkah anniversary in the Face of the Arrogant, under the title "A Slogan is a Weapon and a Stance." During the event, the province's deputy for services affairs, Mohammed Halisi, emphasized that Al-Sarkah represented a shift in collective consciousness and broke the barrier of silence in the face of the arrogance of hegemonic powers. He highlighted the importance of recalling its significance in strengthening resilience and reviving the revolutionary spirit to confront aggression and siege. Halisi described the anniversary as a renewed opportunity to galvanize efforts and fortify institutions against soft infiltration, amid the challenges imposed by aggression and blockade. For his part, Engineer Ahmed Rowdan, Director-General of the Electricity Corporation branch, noted that commemorating Al-Sarkah within state institutions embodies loyalty to the Quranic project and reinforces faith-based identity in the work environment. He added that the slogan carries a conscious stance toward the nation's major causes. In a speech delivered by Mohammed Al-Wafi, scholars addressed the slogan of Al-Sarkah , its connection to the principle of allegiance and disavowal. He pointed out that the slogan emerged at a pivotal moment as a cultural weapon against intellectual invasion and media deception. Al-Wafi stressed the need to translate the essence of Al-Sarkah into practical stances, including opposing normalization, rejecting subordination, and standing with the oppressed—foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the aggression faced by Gaza. The event, attended by Najeeb Adnan, Director of the Rural Electricity Authority branch, along with deputy directors of the electricity corporation, department heads, and employees, featured a poetic recital and a choral performance that reflected the significance of the occasion.
