Actor Neil Morrissey quits Staffordshire pub after 10 years
Actor Neil Morrissey has announced he is leaving a pub in Staffordshire he has run for the last 10 and business partners Richard Slingsby and John Sykes have decided not to renew their lease at The Plume of Feathers in Barlaston with Punch Pubs & trio said they would now focus on finding premises where they could be landlords rather than Stoke-on-Trent born actor is known for his roles in Men Behaving Badly, Bob the Builder, Line of Duty and Death In Paradise.
In a statement, Mr Morrissey and his business partners said they wished the pub's management and staff continued success and thanked the firm for their support during their Pubs & Co CEO Andy Spencer said: "As we look to the future, our priority remains ensuring that The Plume of Feathers continues to thrive at the heart of the community for many years to come."He thanked Mr Morrissey, Mr Slingsby and Mr Sykes for their involvement in the venue and said they had been "instrumental" in its success.
