Award-winning bakery named among best in Britain
An award-winning bakery has added to its list of achievements after being named one of the best in Britain.
The Good Food Guide, a national guide showcasing some of the best places to eat and drink across the country, has shared its readers' top picks for bakeries.
It comes after the guide revealed its own list earlier this year, including Wooster's Bakery in Stanton and Bury St Edmunds.
Pump Street Bakery in Orford was one of the favourites chosen by the guide's readers.

Joanna and Chris Brennan, founders of Pump Street Bakery and Chocolate Shop (Image: Sarah Lucy Brown) The Pump Street business was founded in 2010 by father and daughter Chris and Joanna Brennan.
The pair renovated the pink 15th-century building on the Market Square in which the bakery can be found after it was unoccupied for nearly 20 years.
Bakers make bread and handmade pastries daily, while the cafe serves a range of sandwiches and savouries.

Bread and pastries are made daily (Image: Ella Wilkinson) Across the square from the bakery is the Pump Street Chocolate Shop which sells a range of chocolates alongside other items such as cookery books.
It is not the first time Pump Street Bakery has received national recognition.
Last year, it won Best Bakery in the East of England and National Bakery of the Year in the National Bakery Awards.
Other accolades won by the bakery include 12 international titles at the Academy of Chocolate and a King's Award for International Trade in 2023.
