Leander Paes conferred prestigious P C Chandra Puraskaar 2025
Kolkata, May 12 (UNI) Grand Slam title holder and former professional Tennis player, Leander Paes, has been conferred with the prestigious 32nd P C Chandra Puraskaar at a glittering function here.
Instituted by the P C Chandra Group, the award recognises exceptional achievements across diverse
fields and honours the legacy of its visionary founder Purna Chandra Chandra.
The Puraskaar, carrying a tax-free honorarium of Rs 20 lakh, is among the most respected honours and is awarded annually on the founder's birth anniversary on May 11 since its inception in 1993.
The award was conferred upon the 51-year Tennis veteran Leander Paes as he has been recognised as global ambassador of Indian tennis with 18 Grand Slam titles and an Olympic bronze to his name.
"His relentless pursuit of excellence perfectly embodies the spirit of the award," the P C Chandra Group official said.
