Lt. Gen. Qais Al-Muhammadawi is awarded the French Legion of Honor
The French military command awarded, today, Thursday, the French Legion of Honor to the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in pursuing the remaining leaders and elements of terrorist Daesh.
A statement by the Joint Operations Command, obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the French military command sent the commander of the French Special Forces, Maj. Gen. Michel Delpit, carrying the French Legion of Honor that France granted to to the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in pursuing the remaining leaders and elements of the terrorist Daesh, sound planning and full coordination to employ the capabilities of the Iraqi security forces, in addition to his keenness to strengthen the relations with French advisors in accordance with the Iraqi legal and constitutional frameworks, especially in the areas of training, providing advice, exchanging information, and seeking to harness technical resources, monitoring methods, and intelligence efforts to pursue the remnants of the terrorist Daesh gangs."
