MoL holds training course for accounting graduates seeking employment in private sector
QNA Doha The Ministry of Labour's (MoL) Department of Qualifying and Skills Development on Wednesday organised a specialised training course for Qatari job seekers and children of Qatari women holding accounting degrees. Held in cooperation with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants and titled 'Information Systems Audit', the training forms part of the MoL's ongoing efforts to build a qualified and competitive national talent pool across strategic economic sectors, in support of the national job localisation plan in the private sector. It also contributes to increasing the proportion of national workforce within the overall labour force in the country, in alignment with the National Strategy for an Effective and Highly Productive Workforce 2024–2030. Experts from the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants delivered practical training sessions to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills in IT systems auditing and information security. The course covered theoretical foundations, auditing stages, and control mechanisms, in accordance with international best practices and standards, helping participants meet evolving labour market demands and engage effectively in the fields of accounting and IT auditing. This training course is part of a series of year-round initiatives and programs implemented by the MoL in cooperation with public and private sector partners. It is aligned with the MoL's strategy to enhance the efficiency of the national workforce, strengthen their competitiveness in the job market, and empower them to actively contribute to sustainable development, positioning the State of Qatar as a regional and global hub for innovation and knowledge in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
