Qatari Minister assures Menfi of support to Libya's legitimate institutions
Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, reaffirmed his country's firm stance in support of Libya and its legitimate institutions during a meeting with Presidential Council Head Mohammed Menfi.
Menfi received Al-Khulaifi and his accompanying delegation on Sunday evening in Tripoli. According to the media office of the Presidential Council, Al-Khulaifi conveyed greetings from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Libya and the ongoing political crisis, with both sides emphasizing the need to strengthen regional and international efforts to support the political process, end division, and achieve stability.
In a separate statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them, in addition to discussing regional developments and issues of mutual concern.
Menfi praised the strong ties between Libya and Qatar and commended Doha's active role in supporting peace, calling for continued coordination and consultation on shared interests. Tags: Qatar Presidential Council
