Qlik Expands Cloud Analytics With AI-Powered Capabilities

Home » Emerging technologies » Cloud Computing » Qlik Expands Cloud Analytics With AI-Powered Capabilities Qlik®, a global player in data integration, data quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence, has announced new capabilities coming soon to its Cloud Analytics platform. The enhancements aim to help enterprises detect anomalies, forecast complex trends, prepare data faster, and take immediate action, all within the analytics environment. The company reported that despite high investments in AI and data, many organizations still face challenges in turning insight into real-time execution. Studies show that only 26% of enterprises have deployed AI at scale, with fewer embedding it into operational workflows. Qlik stated the issue is not access to data, but the ability to act on insights. Dashboards alone are not enough. Predictive models do not guarantee action or outcomes. Qlik's latest updates seek to address this by enabling intelligence that anticipates, explains, and drives action. Brendan Grady, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Qlik's Analytics Business Unit, said that most systems deliver insights too late to be useful. He added that Qlik is creating a platform where AI detects what matters, presents it in context, and enables action without leaving the analytics environment. The new features aim to transform fragmented insights into seamless execution at scale. Qlik confirmed that these capabilities will introduce a new layer of intelligence across the platform, one that anticipates what's next and supports decision-making in real time. The company also announced the renaming of Qlik AutoML to Qlik Predict™, and Qlik Application Automation to Qlik Automate™. This reflects a shift toward outcome-driven experiences within the Cloud Analytics platform. New capabilities include: Discovery Agent : Automatically identifies risks and opportunities across data sources, delivering alerts and suggested actions via a personalized feed. : Automatically identifies risks and opportunities across data sources, delivering alerts and suggested actions via a personalized feed. Multivariate Time Series Forecasting: Models multiple interdependent variables like pricing, campaigns, and seasonality for more accurate business forecasting. In addition, Write Table will allow users to annotate and update data directly in analytics tables with instant sync and no reloads. This also sets the stage for governed writeback to systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and Snowflake. Table Recipe will offer a no-code, spreadsheet-like interface for preparing single-table datasets. With over 60 visual functions, users can clean and format data in real time, making high-quality data accessible to non-technical users. Olga Garagonich, Lead Manager for Data Visualisation at BT Group, said these new features will help teams respond faster and operate more efficiently without disconnected workflows or delays. Qlik confirmed that Discovery Agent, Multivariate Forecasting, Write Table, and Table Recipe will be available for private preview to select customers in 2025. General availability will begin rolling out in phases starting summer 2025. Qlik also announced that attendees of Qlik Connect® will be able to experience live demos and expert sessions on the new features. Customers can request early access by visiting the Qlik website or contacting their account team.
