Qlik Appoints Brian Hamel as Chief Revenue Officer to Accelerate Growth and Expand Market Leadership in Enterprise AI

Appointment of seasoned global sales executive positions Qlik to drive execution at scale amid surging demand for flexible, end-to-end data-to-decision solutions PHILADELPHIA, June 03, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Qlik®, a global leader in data integration, data quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence, today announced the appointment of Brian Hamel as Chief Revenue Officer, joining at a pivotal moment as enterprises shift from AI experimentation to real-world impact. Hamel will lead Qlik's global sales organization to meet surging demand for enterprise-ready solutions that turn data and AI into trusted, timely decisions. His arrival accelerates Qlik's next phase of growth, building on its position as the independent leader in delivering trusted, scalable data-to-decision execution. Hamel brings more than 25 years of leadership experience from enterprise technology companies including IBM, Lenovo, Oracle, and most recently Veritas, where he led global sales transformation and accelerated the company's shift to cloud and subscription models. Throughout his career, he has built and scaled high-performing commercial organizations, modernized go-to-market operations, and driven sustained growth through major market transitions. His track record in aligning sales strategy with customer needs—especially during moments of platform and technology disruption—positions him well to lead Qlik's global expansion in the era of enterprise AI. "Brian's appointment marks a pivotal next step in Qlik's growth story," said Mike Capone, CEO of Qlik. "His experience scaling global go-to-market organizations and leading through major industry shifts makes him the right leader to help us capture the full opportunity in front of us. As enterprises race to turn data and AI into better decisions, Brian will play a critical role in expanding our customer impact and accelerating our global reach." "I'm thrilled to join Qlik at this defining time," said Hamel. "Enterprises are under real pressure to move faster and make smarter decisions with their data—and Qlik has the platform and momentum to help them do it. My focus from day one will be listening to our teams, engaging with customers and partners, and building on the strong foundation already in place. I believe great outcomes come from aligned teams who believe in the mission—and Qlik has that." Hamel's appointment builds on a milestone year for Qlik, marked by record growth in SaaS annual recurring revenue and the launch of two major innovations—Qlik's agentic AI experience and Qlik Open Lakehouse—unveiled last month at Qlik Connect. These launches reflect Qlik's continued leadership in delivering practical, scalable, and cost-efficient AI across the enterprise. As organizations look to embed AI into real workflows and decisions, demand is accelerating for solutions that sit at the center of enterprise strategy—spanning data integration, governance, analytics, and AI. In his new role, Hamel will lead efforts to expand Qlik's global partner ecosystem, deepen strategic alliances, and strengthen the company's go-to-market execution—ensuring Qlik can meet customer needs with greater speed, specialization, and scale. These priorities are central to helping some of the world's largest brands in complex, high-stakes industries leverage Qlik's platform and AI capabilities to gain a strategic edge, as Qlik continues defining the standard for enterprise AI execution. With its agentic experience, Qlik is focused on helping customers turn data into timely, high-quality decisions and results. Qlik's agentic experience is specifically designed to empower teams to accelerate both decisions and productivity in rapidly changing environments. 'This new agentic experience is about removing the distance between data, decisions, and outcomes,' said Mike Capone, CEO of Qlik. 'People want a seamless, conversational way to engage with their data—one that fits naturally into their work and delivers clear, trusted answers in context. We've built this experience to reflect how decisions actually get made in a business.' 'There's a growing demand for AI that does more than generate responses—enterprises want systems that can reason across complex data, explain their outputs, and drive action,' said Megha Kumar, Research Vice President, Worldwide Analytics & AI, IDC. 'Qlik Answers combines structured and unstructured data with automation in a governed, explainable framework. It's a strong example of how agentic AI can support real enterprise decision-making.' 'We're under constant pressure to make faster, better decisions with data that's scattered across the business,' said Yuzuru Fukuda, Corporate Executive Officer - Senior EVP, Enterprise Division CEO, Fujitsu. 'The ability to ask a question and get a trusted, contextual answer—across structured reports, unstructured content, and automated workflows—is exactly the kind of capability we've been waiting for. It has the potential to remove a lot of friction from how decisions actually get made.' The Qlik agentic experience is scheduled to begin rolling out this summer, starting with private previews. Teams attending Qlik Connect can experience the agentic capabilities firsthand through live demos and executive briefings. Qlik Expands Cloud Analytics With AI-Powered Capabilities

Home » Emerging technologies » Cloud Computing » Qlik Expands Cloud Analytics With AI-Powered Capabilities Qlik®, a global player in data integration, data quality, analytics, and artificial intelligence, has announced new capabilities coming soon to its Cloud Analytics platform. The enhancements aim to help enterprises detect anomalies, forecast complex trends, prepare data faster, and take immediate action, all within the analytics environment. The company reported that despite high investments in AI and data, many organizations still face challenges in turning insight into real-time execution. Studies show that only 26% of enterprises have deployed AI at scale, with fewer embedding it into operational workflows. Qlik stated the issue is not access to data, but the ability to act on insights. Dashboards alone are not enough. Predictive models do not guarantee action or outcomes. Qlik's latest updates seek to address this by enabling intelligence that anticipates, explains, and drives action. Brendan Grady, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Qlik's Analytics Business Unit, said that most systems deliver insights too late to be useful. He added that Qlik is creating a platform where AI detects what matters, presents it in context, and enables action without leaving the analytics environment. The new features aim to transform fragmented insights into seamless execution at scale. Qlik confirmed that these capabilities will introduce a new layer of intelligence across the platform, one that anticipates what's next and supports decision-making in real time. The company also announced the renaming of Qlik AutoML to Qlik Predict™, and Qlik Application Automation to Qlik Automate™. This reflects a shift toward outcome-driven experiences within the Cloud Analytics platform. New capabilities include: Discovery Agent : Automatically identifies risks and opportunities across data sources, delivering alerts and suggested actions via a personalized feed. : Automatically identifies risks and opportunities across data sources, delivering alerts and suggested actions via a personalized feed. Multivariate Time Series Forecasting: Models multiple interdependent variables like pricing, campaigns, and seasonality for more accurate business forecasting. In addition, Write Table will allow users to annotate and update data directly in analytics tables with instant sync and no reloads. This also sets the stage for governed writeback to systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and Snowflake. Table Recipe will offer a no-code, spreadsheet-like interface for preparing single-table datasets. With over 60 visual functions, users can clean and format data in real time, making high-quality data accessible to non-technical users. Olga Garagonich, Lead Manager for Data Visualisation at BT Group, said these new features will help teams respond faster and operate more efficiently without disconnected workflows or delays. Qlik confirmed that Discovery Agent, Multivariate Forecasting, Write Table, and Table Recipe will be available for private preview to select customers in 2025. General availability will begin rolling out in phases starting summer 2025. Qlik also announced that attendees of Qlik Connect® will be able to experience live demos and expert sessions on the new features. Customers can request early access by visiting the Qlik website or contacting their account team.
