Woman found beaten and strangled in deadly attack in Queens: NYPD
OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) – A woman was found dead with bruises on a street in Queens late Thursday evening, police said Friday. Juliet Kashidas-Singh, 64, was found near her home in the area of 103rd Avenue and 105th Street in Ozone Park just before 5:30 p.m., according to authorities. More Crime News The woman appeared to have been beaten and strangled, police said. Francisco Sevilla, 40, was taken into custody early Friday morning. He faces charges of first-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said. More Queens News Sevilla and Kashidas-Singh knew each other, according to police, but it's unclear what led up to the deadly attack. Police identify teen killed in group fight in Queens

SUNNYSIDE, Queens (PIX11) — Police have identified the 14-year-old boy who was stabbed and killed in a group fight in Queens on Friday afternoon. Officials say 14-year-old Julian Corniell was stabbed in the abdomen outside a McDonald's in Sunnyside around 3:30 p.m. on Friday. One person has been taken into custody. More: Latest News from Around the Tri-State He was transported to the hospital where he later died. Witnesses say a mob of kids, some of who were wearing ski masks, jumped another group after school. The fight started in a McDonald's and later spilled out into the street. More Local News Rahan, 15, was on his way to a doctor's appointment with his mom and sister when they happened on the chaotic scene. 'I was scared. I was with my mom and sister, wanted to get them inside the clinic as soon as possible,' Rahan said. More Queens News Investigators found a steak knife at the scene of the fight. Police say they're continuing to look for surveillance footage of the attackers of 14-year-old Corniell. Third teen arrested following R train joyride in Queens subway

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday in connection with a group of kids who took an R train on a joy ride through the subway in Queens, according to authorities. The teen will face charges of reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. More Crime News He's the third teenager to be arrested this week in connection with the incident after another 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy were taken into custody on Monday. Police say a group of six entered the subway at the Forest Hills-71 Avenue station on Jan. 25 just before 10:30 p.m. More Queens News The kids then drove the train for an unknown distance and damaged its security camera by marking it, officials report. Despite damaging the cameras, the group was still caught on video entering the train. Police are still searching for the three others who may be involved and are offering up to $3,500 for information that may lead to an arrest.
