ShrevePride's Q-Prom honors queer history, fashion and more
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreveport Q-Prom's annual event is returning, celebrating past queers and inviting attendees to dress in their favorite outfits representing iconic figures from those times.
ShrevePride is a North Louisiana nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more inclusive and safer environment in Shreveport.
Q-Prom is 'a night of celebrating queerness through the ages. To gather, get loud, take up space, and carry the torch of a proud history. Expect the unexpected and come ready to create the kind of beautiful chaos that only chosen family can,' details the nonprofit.
On Saturday, June 21st, the nonprofit says guests can expect live performances from local bands, including DJ Static Shock and special guests, as well as local drag queens strutting their stuff on the runway.

The nonprofit says there is no dress code this year; however, you can dress in 'queercore' femme, drag, camp — or in the style of your favorite queer icon.
'Embody that spirit by coming dressed in your favorite era, be it 1980s or 1880s. Whether you dig Debonair, Clone, Queercore, Vogue, Dilly, Drag, minimalist, maximalist — or come in the style of your favorite queer icon,' ShrevePride note's this year is also anti-prom, if you do not want to dress up, they encourages attendees to come as you are.
Q-Prom 2025 will be held at Eleven Events LLC, 1529 Texas Avenue, for a 'HAUS PARTY' to remember. Early bird tickets are on sale for $37.10. The sale ends on June 20th.
A full schedule is forthcoming, but doors will open at 7 p.m. and remain open until midnight.
