Teens hung out in a room with a gun. Now a Maryland father mourns.
Quentin Palmer was on his way to work last Saturday afternoon when he detoured to drop off flowers he bought from a roadside stand for Mother's Day.
He delivered them to his son's mother in Beltsville, Maryland, and only briefly spoke to the teenager, Derrick Palmer, who had two friends visiting that day. He said 'I love you, son,' and headed off toward the moving business he owns.
