Western Reserve rallies to win District Championship
MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio (WKBN) – Western Reserve girls basketball used a strong second half to take down Cornerstone Christian, 48-35, to win the Division VII Northeast 3 District Championship on Saturday night.
The Blue Devils trailed by eight points at halftime before outscoring Cornerstone Christian, 29-8, in the second half in the 13-point victory.
Western Reserve was led by Kylee Ramsey with 18 points and Quincy Miller with 15 points.
With the win, they move to 18-6 on the season after taking down the top seed in their bracket.
The Blue Devils will take on Mogadore in the Regional Semifinals on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 8:00 p.m. at Perry Gymnasium in Massillon.
