Sony PlayStation Store Scam Games Removal April 2025: All you may want to know

This step appears to target scam and low-effort games that mislead users and affect the store's overall April 2025, Sony removed three game developers from the PlayStation Store. These were Adventure Games, Gaming Dev and Grizzly Games. Every game listed under these developers has been taken down. Sony has not issued an official announcement. However, this action seems to target scam games taken down often copied popular titles available on PC. Many used cheap assets or AI-generated material. These games were marketed in ways that suggested they were legitimate versions of popular indie or multiplayer titles. This confused users and filled the store with low-quality removed games like Supermarket Simulator 2025 and R.E.P.O.: Ghost Haul by Adventure Games. From Gaming Dev, titles like Operation Bodycam, Exit 9 Metro, and Lethal Corporation were delisted. Grizzly Games lost SCP Foundation Universe Horror, VoidCraft Island Chronicles, and Zombie Blocks: Pixel Shooter Gun, among previously removed RandomSpin Games from the store in February 2025 for similar reasons. This current removal is the most extensive action since then. Although not all scam games are gone, the move signals stronger monitoring. Sony may introduce new vetting systems to control future uploads and protect removed these games because they copied popular titles and misled users, cluttering the store with low-quality or deceptive some scam games still exist, and new ones appear often. Sony is expected to improve its moderation processes.
