Get hands on learning with RBNC's Spring Break Camp
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Spring break is just around the corner and if parents are looking for an educational opportunity for their little ones, River Bend Nature Center has just the thing.
RBNC's Spring Break Camp runs from March 10 through 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. While ages four through eleven are welcome, registration is full except for the Pre-K spots for four and five-year-olds.
RBNC Education director Erika Mitchell said it will be a lot of fun.
'So you get to do a little flair when you're doing your science. You're adding some art in here,' Mitchell said. 'So we're gonna do a lot of things like making circuit bugs, so bugs that light up, as well as painting and making your own volcano….there's just a lot of fun to be had.'
Mitchell went on to say that because it is such a hands-on experience, kids don't seem to mind the learning aspect.
'Because it's hands-on, it's getting to play with science and not just learning about it. It's getting hands-on and seeing what they can create with their own imagination,' Mitchell said.
Registration for summer camps at River Bend is also open. For more information, visit them online.
