Hundreds form human chain against felling of 2,500 trees for Jaipur unity mall project
Hundreds of men, women, children, the elderly, social rights activists and youngsters on Sunday formed a human chain in protest against the felling of around 2,500 trees in Jaipur. A wave of youth-led activism is sweeping Jaipur as the 'Save Dol Ka Baadh' campaign gains momentum, with hundreds of young professionals and environmentalists rallying to protect one of the city's last major green campaign, which has seen daily protests and a surge in social media support, is a direct response to government-backed plans to clear nearly 100 acres of dense forest for the construction of the Prime Minister's Unity Mall and other commercial Ka Baadh, often called the 'green lungs' of south Jaipur, is home to over 2,400 mature trees—including the ecologically vital Khejri—and more than 80 species of birds and native wildlife. Nidec starts work on 3rd plant in Neemrana, to invest 450cr

The new factory, which will be operational by Sept 2026, will manufacture technologically advanced automotive components for electric power steering motors, park lock actuators, electric water pump, electric oil pump, BLDC engine cooling fan motors. Speaking on the future plans of the company in India, CEO of Nidec Corporation, Mitsuya Kishida, said, "Our Motion and Energy (MOEN) business will launch of a mega campus having five plants within the Hubli Dharwad on June 2. This campus represents investments of $55 million and aims to achieve carbon neutral by 2027". Similarly, Mr. Kishida said, "Our Global Appliance (ACIM) business is investing $150 million in Maharashtra. A MoU for acquiring 50-acre land was signed with Maharashtra govt." With the Japanese zone in Neemrana getting saturated, RIICO appealed to the Japanese investors to look at second dedicated zone at Ghiloth developed for them. At the ground-breaking ceremony of Nidec India's third plant, RIICO MD Shivangi Swarnkar said, "A second industrial zone has been developed at Ghiloth, near Neemrana, covering around 200 hectares, to further strengthen the region as a strategic hub for Japanese industries." RIICO sells industrial plots worth 650cr in past 2 mths
Jaipur: After selling 98 industrial plots under the new direct allotment scheme on April 4 for the MoU holders of the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit , RIICO 's routine e-auctions held Thursday and Friday fetched over Rs 300 crore with the sale of 182 plots. With the latest sales, RIICO's revenues from plot allotments rose to Rs 650 crore in the past two months, said RIICO. To facilitate the availability of land, RIICO introduced a Direct Land Allotment Policy-2025, which is applicable in 98 industrial areas. However, after encountering demand for plots beyond these 98 industrial areas, RIICO conducted e-auctions where many Rising Rajasthan investors also participated, said RIICO in a release. The plots were allotted in industrial areas including Punayata and Falna Jadri (Pali), Sukher (Udaipur), Parbatsar (SGC), Nagaur, Rayla (Bhilwara), Growth Center Dholpur (Bharatpur), Baran and Indraprastha (Kota), Karauli and Khushkheda in Bhiwadi, EPIP Sitapura Industrial Area, Bagru (Chhitroli) in Jaipur South, Kolila Joga (Neemrana), Kishangarh Phase IV, Ghiloth, Growth Center II (Abu Road), and Thanagazi Industrial Area (Alwar). RIICO is set to open allotment for commercial, institutional, hospital, hotel, educational, and retail plots for the MoU holders from next month.
