Police freeze RM338mil in MBI assets, including durian orchards and hotel
KUALA LUMPUR: Federal police have seized and frozen assets worth over RM338.53 million linked to Mobility Beyond Imagination (MBI).
The bulk of the seizures — valued at RM223.62 million — comprised three durian orchards in Raub (Pahang), Penang and Kedah.
Bukit Aman's Anti-Money Laundering Crime Investigation (AMLA) Unit chief Datuk Muhammed Hasbullah Ali said a palm oil processing plant in Kedah, along with a hotel and a property development company in Penang, were also seized.
"These were part of the second series of operations conducted from April 18 to 21," he told reporters today.
