Omani tech firms sign RO4.5mn pacts in Saudi Arabia

By OUR CORRESPONDENT Muscat – Omani technology companies signed nine agreements worth a total of RO4.5mn with international firms during their participation in the 'Leap 2025' technology conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. The deals highlight Oman's growing role in the regional tech ecosystem. Among the agreements, Global Semiconductor Microelectronics (GSME), an Omani-US partnership, signed a deal valued at RO3.85mn with Saudi firm e-Photonics. The collaboration focuses on semiconductors, electronics, and 3D computer vision solutions, aiming to enhance knowledge exchange, research, and services. DataMining, an Omani company specialising in artificial intelligence and programming, signed an agreement worth RO380,000 with Saudi-based AlJazeera Falcons. The partnership will focus on developing and producing electronic products tailored to the Saudi market. Within the ITHCA Group, Mubashir, a provider of advertising screen solutions, entered into a RO380,000 agreement with Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) in Saudi Arabia. The deal aims to expand digital advertising capabilities in the region. Additionally, OSOS, another ITHCA Group company, signed six agreements with international firms to offer software solutions, artificial intelligence applications, cloud systems, and technical support. The agreements reflect Oman's commitment to advancing its technology sector and strengthening cross-border partnerships to drive innovation and market expansion.
