POLK COUNTY, Fla. - One person is dead after being trapped inside an RV that caught fire on Saturday morning in Polk County, officials say. What we know Firefighters with Polk County Fire Rescue (PCFR) said they responded to a working structure fire around 11:52 a.m. on Saturday at Combee Road in Lakeland. When crews arrived, they found an RV fully engulfed in flames with an individual potentially trapped inside. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire, but said one person died. No additional injuries were reported by the crews, and no patients were transported to the hospital. What we don't know Authorities have not yet released the identity of the person killed in the fire. It is currently unclear what started the RV fire. What's next The incident is currently under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshals Office and the Polk County Sheriff's Office. ( — The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department responded to an RV and multiple vehicles that caught on fire on Wednesday night in Sacramento County. According to Metro Fire, the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Straugh Road in Rio Linda. On the property, there was an RV plus two to three vehicles that were involved, which also caused an exposure threat to other vehicles in the area. A fire that destroyed a recreational vehicle in a San Jose neighborhood left one person dead Tuesday morning and threatened a neighboring commercial structure, the Fire Department said. The RV was parked along Kiely Boulevard near Saratoga Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard in the Northlake neighborhood on the city's west side. The Fire Department said crews were called at 10:32 a.m. and found an RV that was fully involved, with the fire spreading to nearby trees and next to a commercial structure, formerly the site of Garden City Casino and Harry's Hofbrau restaurant, which both closed years ago. #SJFD firefighters remain on scene of an RV fire on the 400 block of Kiely Blvd. The fire spread to nearby trees and threatened a commercial structure, but firefighters prevented extension to the building.
