Use AI to declutter and organise your home
Everyone aspires to have a pretty home, and with limited space like most Mumbaikars have, the challenge is far more tough. Guess what? Among other things now AI can help you revamp and declutter your living space.
All you need to do is upload a picture of the room you want to declutter on any AI , and it will offer you practical solutions that make a world of a difference.
'Never realised how much the clutter was affecting my mood'
Leticia Monteiro, a student from Kurla, posted a photo of her living room and admitted being surprised by the amazing transformation suggested. 'I'm surprised by how much of a difference small changes made to the whole outlook of the room. Decluttering the space has not only made it look bigger but also way more peaceful and livable.
I never realised how much the clutter was affecting my mood until it was clean and rearranged.
Never knew you could actually do this kind of transformation using AI.'
'We listen, empathise, and co-create systems customised to your lifestyle'
However, the founder of a professional decluttering service, Raachna Kacker, feels that nothing can replace the human touch. She says, 'People are now acknowledging clutter as a real issue and are looking for help. While AI can offer general strategies, it cannot walk into your home, read your emotional attachments, or guide you through the real-life overwhelm of decision-making.

That's where professional organisers come in.
We listen, empathise, and co-create systems that are sustainable and customised to your lifestyle.'
Here's what AI suggested
1. Clear surfaces
TV Unit & Drawer Top: Remove all scattered items (snacks, papers, bottles). Only keep essentials like the remote or a small decorative item.
Chair: Clear the chair and either tuck it under a table or move it to a corner.
2. Organize fabrics & bedding
Sofa/Bed Area: Fold and store the blankets and bedsheets in a drawer, under the bed, or in a storage box.
Consider using matching covers to give a more uniform look.
3. Wall & vertical space
Curtains: Consider using a solid-coloured curtain or a lighter design to simplify the visual look.
Wall Decor: Mount the photo frame (currently on top of the cupboard) or place it on a floating shelf for a cleaner aesthetic.
4. Clothes and bags
Hanging Items on the Stairs: Move them to a wall hook panel or a standing coat rack near the entrance.
Consider using under-stair storage cabinets to keep things out of sight.
5. Lighting and ceiling fan
Clean dust from the fan and consider warmer light bulbs for a cozier feel if the current lighting feels harsh.
6. Hidden storage
Use boxes or organisers under the bed or inside the cupboards to group similar items (electronics, stationery, etc.)
Decluttering the space has not only made it look bigger but also way more peaceful and livable. Never knew you could actually do this kind of transformation using AI
