Morocco: Rabat Hosts 4th Training Cycle for African Election Observers
The 4th training cycle for African election observers kicked off on Monday in Rabat, bringing together senior officials from 52 African countries. The opening ceremony was co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita, and the African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, Bankole Adeoye. This annual event, organized in partnership with the AU's Political Affairs, Peace and Security Department, is part of Morocco's commitment—driven by His Majesty King Mohammed VI—to a stable, peaceful, and prosperous Africa. This training aligns with decisions made by the AU's Conference of Heads of State and Government, including those adopted during the most recent AU Summit in February 2025, which called on the Kingdom of Morocco to continue enhancing African capacities to improve the effectiveness of election observation missions. The 4th edition saw the participation of more than 120 young civil society actors, experts, and high-ranking officials from all five regions of the continent, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Guinea, Niger, and Sudan. This session is also marked by significant female participation, with women accounting for 68% of all participants. By running this specialized training cycle for the fourth year in a row, the Kingdom continues to stand out as Africa's leading provider of trained election observers to oversee electoral processes across the continent. Conducted in Rabat, the program contributes significantly to strengthening African capacities in the electoral field. The 2025 edition also features the organization of the 2nd Dialogue-Seminar on Elections and Democracy in Africa, titled "Inclusive Governance: Amplifying Women's Leadership in African Electoral and Democratic Processes." This seminar enriches the training program by addressing topics focused on political dialogue and key issues related to democracy, governance, and electoral processes on the continent. This 4th edition marks a key milestone in the Rabat-based training process, aimed at equipping the African Union with an important database to serve election observation across Africa and promote democracy, peace, and security throughout the continent.

AS FAR vs Pyramids: When, How to Watch & Score Prediction
AS FAR face a daunting task this evening as they host Egypt's Pyramids in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals. Kick-off is at 8 p.m. Moroccan time (GMT+1), and fans can catch the action live on BeIN Sports Arabic. The Moroccan side trail 4-1 from the first leg in Cairo and must deliver a near-flawless performance if they are to progress to the semis. Head coach Alexandre Santos is under no illusions about the scale of the challenge: 'We've got 95 minutes,' declared AS FAR boss Alexandre Santos. 'This is our moment to show our identity, our quality, and above all, our focus.' The Rabat-based side were undone early in Cairo, conceding two quick goals and never truly recovering. Santos is expected to make changes to avoid a repeat, with 21 players available for selection. Winger El Amine Zouhzouh, who struggled with a knock in the first leg, is fit and expected to feature in the starting lineup. The match also carries emotional weight following a controversial decision in Egypt which saw hundreds of AS FAR fans denied entry until the final minutes. A large crowd is expected in Meknes, with supporters eager to fire up their side towards an unlikely semi-final berth. 'The result was painful, yes,' Santos added, 'but we've worked well. The belief is there. Every player knows what's at stake.' Pyramids coach Krunoslav Jurčić is all caution: 'We're expecting a very, very difficult match. AS FAR are aggressive, technically strong, and they'll come at us like a storm from the first minute.' Still, he exuded quiet confidence. 'If we play as we did in Cairo, we'll go through. We've handled hostile atmospheres before—we've played Ahly, Zamalek, you name it.' Pyramids will go through with a draw or even a two-goal defeat. AS FAR must win by three goals to level the tie. But if there's one truth in football, it's that it's never over until the final whistle. Score Prediction: AS FAR will huff, puff, and roar. But unless Pyramids collapse under pressure, the Egyptians should edge through. We hope a miracle will turn up uninvited. Verdict: AS FAR 1-1 Pyrami Tags: AS FARCAF Champions LeaguePyramids

FAR Files Complaint Against Pyramids FC Over Limited Tickets for Fans
Rabat – Moroccan football club Royal Army (FAR AS) filed on Wednesday a complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against Egypt's Pyramids FC over ticket allocation during their last game. The complaint accuses Pyramids of failing to provide enough tickets for FAR's fans during their match, which took place on Tuesday in Cairo. The game was part of the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals. The Rabat-based club criticized the Egyptian club for preventing a large number of its supporters from attending the game. The club stated that it had taken all necessary steps to secure tickets for its fans, as required by CAF regulations. 'During the pre-match technical meeting on March 31, Pyramids FC informed us that only 100 tickets would be allocated to our fans. This does not comply with CAF rules, which state that at least 5% of the stadium's capacity must be given to the visiting team's supporters,' FAR said in a statement. In this case, the Egyptian side should have allocated 1,500 tickets for the Moroccan fans, as the Air Defense Stadium has a capacity of 30,000 seats. The Moroccan club further stated that it had contacted both CAF and Pyramids FC to request a correction. CAF issued an official directive instructing Pyramids FC to provide more tickets to avoid security risks. However, the Egyptian club only added 100 more tickets, leaving many FAR fans unable to enter the stadium. The match, which ended in a 4-1 victory for Pyramids FC, was marked by chaos outside the stadium, as many FAR supporters were denied entry. FAR is now seeking action from CAF to address the issue and ensure fair treatment for visiting fans in future matches.
