Hiding somewhere inside Israeli director Rachel Elitzur's 70-minute Storyville documentary Wedding Night (BBC4, Tuesday, June 10) is, you suspect, a better, shorter, more focused one.
The subject matter is undeniably intriguing: the wedding rituals of ultra-Orthodox Jews, which, to the eyes of an outsider, are alarmingly retrograde and repressive.
