Rachel Kolisi vs Enhle Mbali: South Africans pick sides over 'divorce drama'

An Instagram post by Rachel Kolisi, the former wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, has had many social media users comparing her to Enhle Mbali, who similarly went through a high-profile divorce from her ex, DJ Black Coffee. Both women have been outspoken about their marriage splits and navigating the way forward as single moms. However, they've received different reactions from the public. Rachel announced her split from Siya last October after eight years of marriage. Enhle and Black Coffee – real name Nkosinathi Maphumalo – called time on their nuptials in 2019 after tying the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony in 2011. Both women have two children with their exes. Like actress Enhle Mbali, Rachel Kolisi has been subjected to social media commentary about what led to their marriage split from their successful husbands. Rachel's recent Instagram post about being forced to drive an older car, a Toyota Yaris, had many South Africans wondering if it had anything to do with Siya Kolisi and their divorce settlement. But while many have sypathised with the former Springbok WAG, others have called out the double standards of treatment towards Enhle Mbali. Enhle – who publicly accused her ex of cheating, being physically, verbally, and financially abusive – was unfairly branded a 'liar', a 'gold-digger', and an 'opportunist'. The actress was also criticised for demanding a hefty sum in child support and spousal maintenance. Here's a look at the mixed views from social media users about Rachel Kolisi vs Enhle Mbali divorce saga… @Puse_Maseko: 'Rachel must get a C-Class, but Enhle must be left in a house with no electricity?' @trashdube: 'Rachel did a lot for black people, changed many lives. Your Enhle? It was all about Dubai and designer clothes'. @itsjustcebo: 'Rachel can be calm because she didnt go through what Enhle did. Black women are always treated the worst, then labelled as bitter'. @Lech67719389: 'Rachel Kolisi went the amicable solution route and kept it clean. Enhle Mbali made it a public spectacle and tried to milk sympathy.' @kokiiniezer1: 'Everyone feeling sorry for Rachel Kolisi but couldn't afford Enhle the same grace'. While their circumstances differ, both Enhle Mbali and Rachel Kolisi have spoken about their partners being away from home for extended periods due to their high-profile jobs. While Rachel has hinted that Siya may have cheated on her during their marriage, Enhle has publicly accused her ex of being unfaithful. Speaking to 702's Relebogile Mabotja recently, she said: 'I'm proud of how I handled my marriage. I never cheated, not once, until the day I decided to leave because I could no longer take the punishment to myself. 'It's multi-layered. But my non-negotiable was children in a marriage. Once there were two children by two different women, I said, 'You don't love me. In fact, you're going to kill me. 'I lost a lot of respect for my partner. I forgave him for the apologies I never got, I forgave myself.' During their marriage, Black Coffee reportedly fathered multiple children with different women. He has never confirmed or denied the news. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 . Divorce drama? Siya catches strays over Rachel Kolisi's 'used' car

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has found himself trending on social media after his former wife, Rachel Kolisi, revealed her 'downgrade' from a luxury to a modest car. The ex-rugby WAG surprised everyone on Instagram by announcing that she had traded her modern Mercedes-Benz for an older Toyota Yaris. Rachel – who announced her split from Siya last October – has since deleted the post. On Friday, Rachel posted – and swiftly deleted – a post teasing that latest car, a Toyota Yaris. The modest vehicle is a far cry from her state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benzes and Land Rovers, which she is likely accustomed to. 'Life has a funny way of humbling you just when you think you've got it all figured out. One day you're riding high, the next you're asking a friend to borrow their spare car and googling 'how to parallel park a Yaris with dignity'', she captioned the post. The mother-of-two added: 'It's not forever. It's just a chapter. But honestly? Betsy (the car) and I are kind of vibing, and I still nail clutch control.' Rachel Kolisi deleted an IG post about her modest car. Images via Instagram: @rachelkolisi On the X platform, Rachel Kolisi's car reveal had many South Africans slagging off her former husband, Siya Kolisi. Many believed that the Springbok captain 'owed' his ex a luxury car over their eight years of marriage and two children together. @coriekingsley: 'They have kids. The least he could do is leave her comfortably. She also took care of his siblings.' @yoyoyodity: 'Men will leave you in the desert with no water'. Others believed Rachel Kolisi was trying to garner public sympathy. @josnowwy: 'I feel like she is being a bit unfair. She wants people to hate Siya, and we do not know about what is happening or what happened in their marriage.' @KatlegoYaBadimo: 'Rachel knows what she's doing, shame!' Since announcing their split, Siya and Rachel Kolisi have kept news of their divorce and subsequent settlement under wraps. It remains unconfirmed if the couple will be splitting their assets or walking away with their own. What is confirmed is that Rachel has claimed that she was pressured to leave her post as CEO of the couple's joint charity, the Kolisi Foundation. In a complaint filed with the CCMA, Rachel claimed 'constructive dismissal', alleging that her working conditions became 'intolerable', 'forcing' her to resign. She is seeking reinstatement or compensation for the distress caused by her resignation. Although Rachel's source of income is unclear, she and her two children, as well as Siya's two siblings, continue to live in their Cape Town home. Siya lives in a Ballito mansion in KwaZulu-Natal, where he plays for the Sharks. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 . 'Humbling': Rachel Kolisi 'downgrades' to affordable car

Rachel Kolisi has swapped driving luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and Land Rovers for a more affordable ride, a Yaris! Despite being the former wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, Rachel has been praised for her humility and simplicity. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Rachel Kolisi posted a series of pictures of her latest ride – an old Toyota Yaris. In the post, the former Springbok WAG rode around in the modest vehicle, which she also used to pick up her ex Siya Kolisi's sister Liphelo. The influencer and philanthropist captioned the post: 'Life has a funny way of humbling you just when you think you've got it all figured out. One day you're riding high, the next you're asking a friend to borrow their spare car and googling 'how to parallel park a Yaris with dignity.' The mother-of-two added: 'It's not forever. It's just a chapter. But honestly? Betsy (the car) and I are kind of vibing, and I still nail clutch control.' Rachel Kolisi deleted an IG post about her modest car. Images via Instagram: @rachelkolisi Just hours earlier, Rachel had posted pictures of her 'last day' in her Mercedes-Benz. It's unclear if the luxury car was hers or possibly a brand endorsement deal. Rachel Kolisi isn't the only Capetonian who will be hitting the road in a Yaris. Former DA leader Helen Zille revealed in March that she would be finally upgrading her trusted Corsa of 25 years to another affordable option. In the comments section, Helen was asked what car she would be driving next. 'A Toyota Yaris,' she responded. According to Toyota, the Yaris debuted in South Africa in 2005 and quickly became one of their best-selling models globally. In recent years, 'slow sales' have seen the popular car being discontinued in countries around the world. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 . 'Terrifying': Rachel Kolisi on family's traumatic fire experince

Rachel Kolisi – the former partner of Sharks and Springbok player Siya Kolisi – has shared her firsthand, traumatic account of experiencing the Cape Town fires on her doorstep. The mother of two – who is also stepmom to Siya's younger siblings – revealed how she almost fled her home in an emergency evacuation. Over the past week, Rachel Kolisi has been documenting her account of the Cape Town wildfires, which began in the Tokai forest and spread to surrounding areas. The blaze reached the back of Kolisi's home, which is located near Table Mountain. Luckily, firefighters and community volunteers managed to contain the flames in time. In an Instagram Story, Rachel revealed that the ordeal traumatised her entire family. She shared: 'We were all terrified. I didnt sleep so I could keep an eye on the fire'. After a sleepless night, Siya and Rachel Kolisi's kids as well as this siblings, were helped by neighbours and friends. She continued: 'I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.' She added, 'Gives me a whole new perspective'. Meanwhile, authorities have revealed that one man has been arrested for attempting to start a fire along the Cape Peninsula. However, police say the fire is not related to the one that started in the Tokai forest. SANParks has conducted a preliminary investigation, which indicates that the blaze was ignited intentionally at three locations.
