This initiative is part of the nationwide 'Fit India Sundays on Cycle' movement launched by the ministry of youth affairs and sports, aiming to promote regular cycling as a mean to adopt a healthier lifestyle and raise environmental awareness. The programme concluded with a commitment from Vice-Chancellor Prof RK Mittal and the university community to embrace cycling not just as a Sunday activity but as a regular mode of transport.
