Art Museum of WVU hosts paper making event ‘From Pulp to Paper'
MORGANTOWN, (WBOY) — The Art Museum of WVU hosted a paper making event called 'From Pulp to Paper' as an educational event for families.
The Art Museum hosts a number of events for the community to enjoy, and during this one families could come and learn step-by-step how paper is made. The event was held to be in line with the museum's 'Radiant Pages: The Art of The Book' exhibit which is now on display.

Heather Harris, Curator of Education at the Art Museum of WVU, explained the process they used in paper making today, explaining that they gathered recycled paper from recycling bins in the office. Then they had participants rip those papers to tiny shreds and then mix it in water.
A blender was then used to make it like a 'paper smoothie'. Then, special sieve screens were used to drain out the water, creating a wet sheet of paper that needs to dry.
Next Saturday, WVU will host an event that teaches bookbinding.
