Haynie's Corner has new mural for people to enjoy
HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A new mural is on display in Evansville's Haynie's Corner for people to enjoy. A ribbon cutting was held for the mural in celebration of the 10th year of the neighborhood's 'First Fridays' series. Officials say the project is the first phase of an initiative to invest in public art and local artists. The mural, called 'Radiant Revival' is by Cleo Griffin who used to live in Haynie's Corner. 'I want people to be excited when they're walking around and they're looking at things and I want them to be like 'this is cool',' she said. 'I'm proud to be in this city, and I'm proud of the people that I know and the people that live here are able to do things like this. It's been really reassuring that people that have been passing by are so happy about it.' The mural is located on the southeast facade of 58 Adams Avenue. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
