New Hampshire man arrested for allegedly trafficking firearms into Massachusetts
PEPPERELL, Mass. (WWLP) – A New Hampshire man was arrested last Thursday in connection with trafficking nine firearms into Massachusetts in the span of one month. Dennis Michaud, Jr., 22, of Nashua, N.H., was arrested on March 20 following an investigation beginning in early February. Charging documents stated that undercover law enforcement identified Michaud as an illegal firearms dealer, and allegedly contacted him via Snapchat to inquire about purchasing a semiautomatic rifle. Michaud allegedly told the undercover officers through these messages that he was residing in New Hampshire and that firearms could be brought to Massachusetts for purchase. Chicopee crews put out garage fire on Granby Road On February 11, Michaud and a confidential source allegedly met up in Pepperell at the request of the undercover officers to purchase the firearm. Michaud was alleged to have then sold the individual a semiautomatic rifle and a 30-round magazine for $900. On February 18, Michaud allegedly sold three more firearms and ammunition to undercover law enforcement for $2,100. On February 27, Michaud met with the source again to allegedly sell two more firearms, including a semiautomatic short-barreled rifle.
