7k anganwadis to be on Raj Poshan portal
Jaipur: For better and real-time monitoring of schemes,
Integrated Child Development Services
(
ICDS
) department Monday generated a request for the transfer of over 7,000
anganwadi centres
to the
Raj Poshan portal
by aligning the jurisdiction of
child development programme officers
with panchayat samitis.
Officials said that with the transfers, the exchange of data between the panchayat samiti, child development programme officer, and other departments at the block level will be simple and accurate.
ICDS director OP Bunkar said, "The demand to shift 7,024 anganwadi centres has been generated for 138 projects, whose status has been shared with CDPO. This will enable better coordination due to same demarcation of projects with Panchayat Samiti."
Officials said that by transferring these anganwadi centres to the Raj Poshan Portal, panchayat samiti-wise data will be available for 363 projects and 2,236 sectors from 41 districts.
The director has further instructed officials to ensure that the transfer is completed by Tuesday, after which district-wise review meetings will be conducted.
Officials added that aligning the jurisdictions will help in better implementation of schemes operated by different departments in collaboration with ICDS.
