Prabhas' The Raja Saab Features India's Biggest Horror-Fantasy Set, Claim Makers

Designed by acclaimed art director Rajeevan Nambiar, this set isn't merely a backdrop but an immersive space that's integral to the story. From towering doors to shadowy corridors and rooms filled with secrets, the Haveli's layers unfold as the plot progresses. 'Every detail had to serve the emotion, not just the aesthetics. We wanted the set to feel haunted, not just look haunted," says Rajeevan Nambiar, adding, 'The aim was to create something that draws you in the moment you enter, whether you're a viewer or walking through it." This visit will give them a preview of the world envisioned by director Maruthi, who is known for his distinctive touch in the horror-fantasy genre. Maruthi has combined scale and emotion to create an immersive cinematic experience. Every aspect of the Haveli, including stones, props, and shades, has been custom-made to enhance the horror. Even the floor has an eerie texture to add to the visuals. This isn't just set design; it's storytelling through space. Meanwhile, Prabhas, in a surprising move, has reportedly cut down his usual remuneration from Rs 150 crore to Rs 100 crore for The Raja Saab. This decision is believed to be influenced by the lukewarm response to his previous film, Adipurush, produced by People Media Factory, which received a lot of flak and underwhelming response at the box office. Despite this, Prabhas' film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, performed well at the box office, earning over Rs 600 crore. That apart, Kalki 2898 AD also garnered nearly Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. Produced by People Media Factory and Viswa Prasad, The Raja Saab is set to release on December 5, 2025, in five languages – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film's music is composed by Thaman S. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar in prominent roles.
