BHU's new website highlights growth, research, and student well-being

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has launched a special news portal -- -- to serve as a one-stop-shop of information about university initiatives, student-oriented programmes, research production, and faculty site is designed with the intention of showcasing the necessary information about campus life and BHU's ongoing evolution. It includes such pages as news, initiatives, activities, achievements, patents, projects, and a video gallery -- providing a holistic idea of what's transpiring around the portal was inaugurated formally by Professor Rakesh Raman, Computer Centre Coordinator, in the presence of Professor Rajesh Kumar (Deputy Coordinator), Naveen Chaubey (System Manager), Professor Anurag Dave (Professor-in-charge of External Communication), and Dr Rajesh Singh (Public Relations Officer). A few faculty members, SRK interns from the External Communication department, and other university staff were Raman described the website as a platform to enable BHU to enhance outreach and create a positive image. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has launched a dedicated news webpage ( to showcase its initiatives, student well-being programs, faculty development measures, and other steps aimed at the overall growth of the university and its community. The page features various sections including news, activities, initiatives, achievements, patents, projects, and a video gallery, offering a comprehensive overview of the university's events, developments, and campus life. The site was formally launched by Prof. Rakesh Raman, coordinator of the Computer Centre, in the presence of Prof. Rajesh Kumar, deputy coordinator of the Computer Centre, Naveen Chaubey, the system manager, Prof. Anurag Dave, professor-in-charge of external communication, and Dr. Rajesh Singh, the public relations officer. Prof. Raman said that the new webpage will help the BHU enhance its outreach to various stakeholders as well as facilitate building a positive perception about the institution. He suggested that the page be linked with the official app Namaste BHU to maximize its impact, accordin to a statement by BHU. Prof. Dave, said the new webpage will serve as a key tool in highlighting the opportunities offered by the university. He also praised the SRK interns for their active involvement in the planning and execution of this initiative. Chaubey, System Administrator, said that several new features would be added to the webpage soon to better serve the needs of stakeholders, as per the statement by the varsity. Chander Shekher Gwari, an assistant information and public relations officer, mentioned that the webpage will showcase the 'key highlights of the university in one central location.' SRK interns (External Communication) and other members of the university were present on the occasion. Earlier this month, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) was designated as the national coordinator for Institutions of National Importance (INIs) on the SWAYAM platform, considering its open courses and online presence. This granted the varsity the authority to oversee the development and quality of online courses developed by more than 160 Institutes of National Importance (INIs) nationwide, which include Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Central Universities.
