Petition Submitted to Ensure Smooth Implementation of PM Vishwakarma Yojana in Jogulamba Gadwal
Gadwal: Former district BJP president Ramachandra Reddy today submitted a formal petition to District Industrial General Manager Ramalingeshwar Goud, urging effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana in Jogulamba Gadwal district headquarters. The petition highlighted several challenges being faced by beneficiaries of the scheme in the district. Under the central government's Vishwakarma Yojana, various traditional artisans and craftsmen have registered online in Jogulamba Gadwal district. Some beneficiaries have even received training certificates. However, many are encountering severe difficulties in accessing financial assistance from banks, which is a crucial component of the scheme. In addition, complaints have emerged from several mandals where village secretaries are reportedly not assisting applicants properly, often stating that they have not received login access. This lack of administrative support is causing delays and confusion among applicants. Taking these issues into consideration, Ramachandra Reddy appealed to the District Industrial General Manager to ensure that the scheme is implemented smoothly and reaches all eligible beneficiaries without bureaucratic hurdles. The submission of the petition was accompanied by a group of prominent BJP leaders and supporters. Among those present were: Baligera Shiva Reddy, the BJP candidate who contested from Gadwal District OBC Morcha President Deva Das Senior BJP leaders Sanjeev Reddy and Dabbileti Narasimha Mandal presidents Gopal Krishna, Seshi, and Nagaraju, along with other local party activists and supporters. The group emphasized that if such grassroots-level issues are not resolved promptly, the very purpose of the Vishwakarma Yojana — which is aimed at empowering traditional artisans and boosting their livelihoods — would be defeated. Local leaders requested authorities to initiate coordination meetings with banks and village officials, provide technical support, and conduct awareness programs to facilitate the smooth implementation of the scheme. The BJP leaders concluded their representation with a call for immediate intervention from higher authorities, ensuring transparency and efficiency in delivering the benefits promised under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana.

Farmers Urged to Join FPOs for Better Income and Sustainable Agriculture in Aija Seminar.
Farmers Urged to Join FPOs for Better Income and Sustainable Agriculture in Aija An awareness seminar on Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) was organized at the Aija Farmers' Association Office under the aegis of the Aija Mandal Farmers' Association. The event aimed to educate rural farmers about the benefits and functioning of FPOs in strengthening agriculture and increasing farmers' incomes. Former BJP Jogulamba Gadwal District President S. Ramachandra Reddy and Aija Town BJP President Kampati Bhagat Reddy attended the program and addressed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandra Reddy emphasized that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, had launched the PM-Kisan FPO Scheme in 2020 with the vision to double farmers' income by organizing them into productive and self-sustaining groups. He explained that the central government is encouraging the formation of FPOs — collective organizations of farmers — with the goal of increasing productivity and improving marketing access for agricultural and allied sector produce. The government offers financial support to these FPOs, empowering them to operate as independent business entities. Examples of FPO activities include: Supplying inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals Renting out agricultural machinery like tillers, sprinkler sets, and harvesters Providing services related to storage, transport, and logistics for farm produce Ramachandra Reddy urged farmers to understand that unity is strength. Individual farmers often face challenges alone, but as a group, they can overcome many of these issues collectively and achieve success. He encouraged the establishment of more FPOs, especially in rural and tribal areas, where farmers can register under MACS (Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies) or as Farmer Producer Companies. It was noted during the event that over 10,000 FPOs have already been established across India, with around 600 in Telangana and a similar number in Andhra Pradesh. Incentives for FPO Members: Farmers who become FPO members are eligible to receive free saplings of mango and sweet lime (up to 4 acres per member). This benefit has encouraged many to come forward and join the movement. The Central Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) center has also called upon farmers to take the initiative in forming their own local FPOs. Farmers were advised to visit the FPO office located behind the Guest House in Aija to register. Membership costs ₹1,100, and if a member later decides to opt out, ₹1,000 will be refunded. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from local farmers. Prominent among those who attended were Aija FPO CEO Vineeth, Rangu Venkatesh, Lakshman Goud, Rangu Krishna, Kalyan, Narsimhulu, Advocate Venkatesh, Raghu, Bhimesh, Nagaraju, along with many other farmers from nearby villages. The event served as a motivating and informative platform, aiming to empower the rural farming community to build a sustainable and cooperative future through FPOs.

BJP takes a swipe at Cong govt for leaving farmers high and dry
Hyderabad: BJP State vice president Chintala Ramachandra Reddy has criticised the BRS and Congress governments for their lack of concern regarding the challenges faced by farmers in the state. Addressing the media on Monday, he stated that the former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao's government and the current Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's government neglected the farmers of the state. He claimed that approximately 30 lakh tonnes of paddy have been damaged, and tragically, three farmers have committed suicide due to their losses. Among these farmers are 51-year-old Gugguloth Kishan from Mahabubnagar district, Uppala Venkanna from Annaram village in Suryapet, and Yadagiri from Weldi village in Jangaon. He claimed that since the Congress party took power, 442 farmers have lost their lives. Ramachandra Reddy further noted that the central government has set a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 2,320 for paddy. However, he criticised the state government for failing to support farmers adequately, stating that agricultural officials are not providing the necessary assistance and that there is a lack of proper procurement for their produce. He recalled the Congress party's promises made in the Warangal Declaration to offer bonuses for ten different types of crops, asserting that the state government has not fulfilled these commitments. Further, he pointed out that the state has not implemented the central government's crop insurance scheme, leaving farmers without protection and in distress. In contrast to Telangana, Ramachandra Reddy highlighted that the Chief Minister of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh is providing farmers with solar power systems, 24-hour electricity, and water. On the other hand, the Telangana Congress government has not offered similar support. Due to poor crop planning by the government and despite prior warnings about the monsoon, farmers continue to suffer losses, he added. He also mentioned that the Congress party had promised a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal but has yet to implement it. Furthermore, he indicated that the central government is providing all necessary funds for purchasing every crop grown by farmers, including costs for sacks, bags, transportation, and three months of interest. Despite this, the state government has not procured the 30 lakh tonnes of paddy, complicating the lives of farmers even further.

Joorala-to-Pakala Water Diversion Plan Sparks Outrage: BJP Leader Warns of Mass Agitation in Palamuru
Gadwal: Joorala-to-Pakala Proposal Sparks Fresh Controversy: BJP Leader S. Ramachandra Reddy Warns of Mass Agitation Jogulamba Gadwal, Telangana – The long-dormant proposal to divert water from the Joorala project to the Pakala reservoir has once again resurfaced, triggering strong opposition from regional political leaders and farmers. Former Jogulamba Gadwal District BJP President S. Ramachandra Reddy has expressed serious concern over Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's recent remarks at a high-level engineering officials' meeting regarding this contentious proposal. Speaking at a local gathering, Ramachandra Reddy questioned the logic and feasibility of transferring water from the Krishna Basin to the Godavari Basin, especially when over 1,000 TMCs of water flow unused into the sea from the Godavari River annually. He pointed out that rather than tapping into the Godavari River, which flows near Pakala, the proposal illogically suggests transporting water over 400 kilometers from Joorala. He emphasized that critical irrigation projects within the undivided Mahabubnagar (Palamuru) region, such as RDS (Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme), Nettempadu, Gattu, Bheema, Koilsagar, Kalwakurthy, and Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project, remain incomplete. Reddy argued that proposing a new inter-basin transfer project without first completing these long-pending schemes is not only impractical but also unjust to the farmers of the region. "How can the government justify a new plan involving an expenditure of nearly Rs. 2 lakh crores, when the existing projects haven't even been completed?" he asked, adding that this approach undermines the decades-long irrigation struggles of the region. Recalling the year 2014, when a similar proposal was first introduced, Ramachandra Reddy said, 'Back then, massive protests were launched across all constituencies of the undivided Mahabubnagar district, and we are prepared to do it again if necessary.' He called upon the state government to immediately complete all existing irrigation projects in the region, including extending RDS to its tail-end ayacut and ensuring the completion of Nettempadu, Gattu, Bheema, Koilsagar, Kalwakurthy, and Palamuru-Rangareddy projects. Failing that, he warned, the BJP along with local farmers and the public will initiate a large-scale agitation to protect the district's water rights and development interests. The meeting witnessed participation from several prominent local leaders, including Aija Town and Mandal BJP Presidents Kompati Bhagat Reddy and Gopalakrishna, as well as Lakshman Goud, Nagaraju, and other activists. This development marks a critical moment in the region's water politics, as voices grow louder for prioritizing local irrigation needs over grand inter-basin proposals.
