Last Updated: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis praised the upcoming Ramayana film at WAVES 2025 summit in Mumbai, impressed by its visuals and quality. The excitement around Ramayana just got a big thumbs up from none other than Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. At the ongoing WAVES 2025 summit in Mumbai, the CM spoke about the upcoming film and shared how impressed he was after watching a glimpse of it. He said that he was blown away by how beautifully Ramayana is being made. While talking to writer-producer, Namit Malhotra, Fadnavissaid, 'I think as you rightly said we are world's oldest storytellers. Our art, drama, music is very old, and we only wanted to couple it up with latest technology, and I think that's what you are doing. So, yesterday, when I visited your pavilion with Honourable Prime Minister, I was amazed to see the quality of Ramayana which you are creating. I think that is the way we need to tell our stories to our new generation, and I think with what you are setting up will be the best in the globe." Ranbir Kapoor steps into the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi plays Sita Mata with her signature grace. Ravi Dubey joins the cast as Laxman, and Sunny Deol takes on the powerful role of Hanuman. Adding to the excitement, Yash will be seen as the fierce and complex Raavan. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is set to release in two parts. The first part will arrive in theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part on Diwali 2027. There were strong rumours that the first look of Ramayana would be unveiled at WAVES 2025. Confirming this, producer Namit Malhotra shared that they had planned to reveal it at the event, but decided to postpone it out of respect for the victims of the recent Pahalgam attack. About Waves 2025 Alongside India's brightest stars, WAVES 2025 will also see global leaders from the entertainment world.
