Saplings planted ahead of World Environment Day
Bank of Baroda, Zonal Office, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Vana Charitable Trust, planted 200 saplings in the city on Wednesday to mark World Environment Day, observed on June 5.
The saplings were planted along the Kankanady Road between Nandigudda and Father Muller Hospital, a release from the bank said.
All the saplings which were planted have been geo-tagged and will be maintained by the trust, it said.
General Manager and Zonal Head of the bank, Rajesh Khanna, and Deputy General Managers Ramesh Kanade and Rajesh Sharma were present.

Meanwhile, the National Institute of Technology – Karnataka (NIT-K), Surathkal, planted 700 saplings near Boys Hostel Block 5, on its campus premises on Tuesday.
