Bring Your Furry Friends to Woodway Dog Day!
WOODWAY, Texas (FOX 44) — The Woodway Public Safety Department and Discover Woodway are partnering for Woodway Dog Day this Saturday!
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Woodway Public Safety Fire Bay. Members of the community are urged to drive through the event or get out and enjoy the excitement! This event is open to the Woodway community and surrounding cities.
'We do free microchips for the community, we have discounted vaccinations, I've got someone come in to do nail trims. We have a lemonade stand coming, and some pup treats,' said Randi Winget, Animal Control Officer for Woodway Public Safety.
According to Officer Winget, Dog Day has not been held in several years, and she is excited to bring this event back to the community.
The free microchips will be available courtesy of Cribs for Canines, and discounted vaccinations for dogs will be provided by Waco Mobile Vet. There will also be giveaways from the Woodway Public Safety Department.
