More than 5,000 people from organisations including Virgin Atlantic, Lloyds Bank and the NHS have learnt about data science and AI through courses provided by Cambridge Spark. Raoul-Gabriel Urma, 34, founded the company in 2016 to provide the data skills needed to succeed in the AI era and led it to sales of £18.6 million last year. In March it announced the launch of what it says is the UK's first apprenticeship scheme for AI engineers.
