Live election results for New Jersey Governor's race
Polls closed at 8 p.m. in New Jersey's closely watched gubernatorial primaries, with six Democrats and five Republicans vying for their party's nominations.
Democrats Ras J. Baraka, Steven Fulop, Josh Gottheimer, Mikie Sherrill, Sean Spiller and Steve Sweeney filled a crowded ballot in their race to replace Gov. Phil Murphy, a fellow Democrat.
Among the Republicans, Mario M. Kranjac, Bill Spadea, Justin Barbera and Jon Bramnick were vying against Jack Ciattarelli, who is President Donald Trump's favorite for New Jersey governor.
