ADIB successfully completes host-to-host integration project for Emirates Red Crescent

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading Islamic financial institution, has announced the successful completion of a consolidated Host-to-Host setup project, customised for Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). This achievement reflects the commitment of both organisations to advancing innovative financial solutions that enable seamless automated payments and support noble humanitarian initiatives across the UAE. The project, meticulously designed to meet the specific needs of ERC and its nine centres across the UAE, was successfully completed within a remarkable timeframe, culminating at the end of 2024. To celebrate this achievement, senior leadership and project teams from both ADIB and ERC came together at a dedicated event, underscoring the spirit of collaboration and shared commitment that defined the project's success. H.E Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, delivered a keynote speech, highlighting the importance of cooperation for noble causes and commending ADIB for its dedication and support in executing the project. He also commended ADIB's exceptional efforts and dedication throughout the project. ADIB presented an overview of the integration, highlighting its objectives, scope, outcomes, and key benefits. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to team members from both organisations, recognising their hard work and outstanding contributions to the project's success. 6th UAE aid ship arrives at Al Arish Port with relief for Gaza

Reception of the aid ship The ship was received at Al Arish Port by a delegation including Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State; Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC); and Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai. Tour of the UAE floating hospital Dr. Al Shamsi and the delegation toured the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, which provides medical care to Palestinians from Gaza under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. They visited different hospital departments, learned about services for the injured, and checked on patients' well-being. Dispatch of the aid ship The aid ship departed from Al Hamriyah Port in Dubai on 20th January as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, aiming to meet the urgent needs of Palestinians in Gaza. It marks the largest aid shipment sent as a gift from H.H. Sheikha Fatima to the Palestinian people, carrying 5,800 tonnes of humanitarian supplies. Timely arrival and relief efforts The ship's timely arrival ahead of Ramadan ensures that emergency relief reaches Gaza in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Aid efforts have been made possible through contributions from ERC, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity International. Humanitarian mission and support This humanitarian mission aligns with the expanded phase of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 in Gaza, following directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The intensified operation aims to address the urgent needs of Palestinians in Gaza, ensuring continued relief and support during this challenging time.
