Sharjah consultative council supports ‘Iftar' initiative
trengthening social solidarity
The event, which took place yesterday evening under the theme "Iftar for Fasting Persons from the Consultative Council", reaffirmed the Council's commitment to community service and humanitarian work. It aligns with the council's ongoing efforts to support charitable initiatives and foster social solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.
Active participation from Council members
A number of members took part in the initiative, including Sultan bin Dalmouk Al Suwaidi, Rashid Saleh Al Hammadi, Majid Al Darwish Al Shamsi, Mohammed Ali Jaber Al Hammadi, and his sons Khalid and Rashid. Representing the council's chairman, members, and the general secretariat, Dr Islam Al Shiwi also joined the efforts, demonstrating a strong spirit of giving and social participation.
Collaboration with Sharjah Charity International
Volunteers from the Sharjah Charity International worked alongside the Council members to distribute iftar meals, creating an atmosphere of compassion and unity. The event saw a high turnout from both workers and local residents, who expressed their appreciation for this meaningful initiative, which promotes noble values during the blessed month of Ramadan.

SCC members emphasised that their participation is part of their broader social responsibility, reflecting the strong bonds between different segments of the community. They highlighted that this initiative, now in its second consecutive year, has become an annual tradition.
